Sponsored Residential Services provide individualized, home‑based supports to people with ID/DD (Intellectual Disability/Developmental Disability) who live in the homes of trained families or individuals known as sponsors. Under the supervision of a DBHDS‑licensed provider, sponsors deliver skill‑building, routine supports, general supports, and safety supports that help each individual acquire, retain, or improve the self‑help, socialization, and adaptive skills needed to live successfully in home and community settings. This service includes ongoing skills development along with the level of support necessary to promote independence, stability, and meaningful participation in daily life. Sponsored Residential Services are covered under the Community Living (CL) Waiver.

Services include Skill‑building, routine supports, and safety supports related to the use of community resources, such as transportation, shopping, dining at restaurants, and participating in social and recreational activities.
